    大きさは高さ約5,8センチ、ガラス玉の直径約2,5センチ。
    ガラス玉の中の提灯には蓄光塗料が施してあり、暗い所でもしばらくの間ぼんやりと光ります。
    枕草子の「名が恐ろしき物」の段では、名前に〝鬼〟がつくものや、〝生霊〟や〝牛鬼〟などの妖怪が書かれています。得体の知れないものというのは、今も昔も恐ろしくもあり、好奇心をくすぐる存在でもあります。
