    フマロン教授の最高傑作【コーラルリーフファンタジー】でございます。
    教授が九十三歳で亡くなられた二年ほど前、彼から直接購入した逸品です。

    フィリピン国の紙幣デザインもなされたフマロン教授はフィリピン学会の長老―芸術家であり生物学者でもありました。
    教授の屋敷内には、ご自身の作品が展示されているアートギャラリーがあります。
    多いときは、1日に数百人の観覧者が訪れます。
    百点あまりの展示作品はすべて門外不出―その中でも【コーラルリーフファンタジー】は際立っておりました。
    ですから、お譲りいただけるとは思ってもいませんでした。
    ですが、それまでに、私どもと教授とは十二年の交流がありました。
    二年半の歳月を要しましたが、【コーラルリーフファンタジー】を譲っていただくことができました。
