    ■商品説明■

    二代 真葛香山（宮川香山）造
    砂目肌白鷺図花瓶です。
    共箱付属。

    京都の茶陶窯元に生まれた初代 宮川香山（1842-1916)は
    1871年、海外輸出を手掛けるため国際貿易港であった横浜で真葛窯を開窯。

    多彩な陶技を凝らした写実的な作品の数々は瞬く間に欧米諸国を席捲。
    各国の博覧会で輝かしい受賞を重ね、“MAKUZU WARE（マクズウェア)”として
    当時一大潮流となったジャポニズムの一翼を担いました。

    初代の嗣子である二代香山(1859-1940)もまた名工として知られ、
    帝展への出品や万博での受賞、
    V＆A博物館をはじめとする海外の多くの美術館に作品が所蔵されるなど、国内外で高い評価を得ています。

    尾形乾山写しの本作品は、
    端正なフォルムと釉薬掛分による色彩、質感の対比がモダンで洗練された印象。

    白色際立つ三鷺の図は細密な羽並みの重なり、生き生きとした眼差し等
    自然物の描写を得意とする二代香山の鋭い観察眼が光り、鑑賞者を十分に楽しませます。

    底面に乾山へのオマージュである「香山」の枠組銘が入っております。

    - 二代 真葛香山 （宮川香山） 略歴 -

    1859年　初代宮川香山の兄、長平の子として生まれる。本名半之助。
    　　〃 　 後に実父を失い、初代香山の養子となる。
    1888年　初代香山より家督を相続。
    1892年　大日本窯業協会会員となる。
    1893年　シカゴ・コロンブス万国博覧会にて金牌受賞。
    1900年　パリ万国博覧会にて一等賞金牌受賞。
    1917年　初代香山逝去に伴い、二代香山を襲名。
    　　〃 　 この年より日本美術協会主催美術展覧会審査員を歴任。
    1927年　東陶会を結成。板谷波山らとともに顧問に就任。
    　　〃 　 第8回帝展に出品。
    1932年　第13回帝展審査員に任命。
    1940年　逝去。享年82歳。
