    背もたれが高い(ハイバック)であることで上品な印象を受けるチェアです。
    ホールチェアとも呼ばれるスタイルのお品です。
    彫刻部分のデザインも上品というか、高貴な印象を受けますね。
    そのデザインにふさわしいような彫刻の精緻さも魅力だと思います。
    前脚のデザインも特徴的ですね。

    ホールチェアはお玄関(エントランスホール)で使われることも多く、そのように呼ばれています。
    座面も木製で、背板部分に特徴的な彫刻がされていることが多いです。
    座面部分(スツールの部分)と背もたれとが別パーツになっていることも多いのですが、このお品は背もたれの柱が後脚まで1本の木材でできたチェアでよくみられる構造になっています。
    別パーツタイプのものは背もたれ自体が1枚の板から作られていることが多く、それだけによりデザイン性の高い彫刻をされていることが多いですかね。
    1本につながったタイプは背もたれにある程度の耐荷重性があるところが魅力だと思います。

    イギリスアンティーク家具らしい引き締まった美しさのあるお椅子だと思います。
