    インドネシア・アチェ伝統の民族帽子
    インドネシア・アチェ伝統の民族帽子 インドネシアの最北西端に位置するアチェ特別州。人口およそ450万。西にインド洋を臨み、東部はマラッカ海峡に面し、古くより東西文明の交通の要所として知られています。インドネシア国内で一番イスラム色が強いアチェは、豊かな刺繍文化を持つ事でも知られています。今回紹介する帽子は、その刺繍技術も活かされた伝統の帽子です。一見アフリカンな色彩とカリビアンなノリを感じさせる大らかなデザインですが、正式な伝統儀式の際には必ず登場する歴とした民族衣装の一部です。赤、黄、緑、黒の布製細ヒモで組編みしたようなかっちりとしたこの帽子。サイズは、高さが約20cm、最大直径18.5cm（頭周り約56cm）で、内部はコットン地の白です。
