    フランスの骨董品を扱うディーラーから、詳しいことは分からないがおそらくヨーロッパのどこかの国との説明を受けて購入しました。
    洋書「Collector's Guide to Inkwells BookII」に猫の顔がよく似たインクトレイが掲載されていて、
    ドイツ製となっていましたので、おそらくこれもドイツ製と思われます。（写真参照）
    1900年頃に作られていた物のようです。
     
    靴紐がほどけたブーツの中から猫が顔をだしているデザインです。
    靴底も丁寧に彫刻されています。
    猫の目はガラスのようです。
    メーカーや制作者のマークはありません。
     
    相当愛用されていたようで、木彫りの随所に傷みがあります。
    猫の両耳の先端が欠けていますが、周りの色と馴染んでいますので、初期の頃から欠けていたもののようです。
    猫の喉の部分におそらくペンを置くために凹みと思われますが、端の部分に傷みがあります。
     
    ガラスのインク入れがついていますが、周りに古いインクがこびりついて外すことができません。
     
    キズやの汚れのあるヴィンテージ品ですので、写真で状態をご確認のうえ、ご納得いただいた方のみ、ご入札願います。
