    ◆作品解説　
    この絵は夏に美山町へ取材に行って少し山へ入り、ふと麓を見下ろして見えた風景。「かやぶきの里」で有名な美山町でも、真夏には町の真ん中を貫く国道は観光客で賑わいをみせます。けれど、そんな道を外れた全くの居住地域に入れば、「昔、親から聞いた、長閑な田舎の夏休み」のような時間が流れているのです。これは、そんな風景を絵にした作品です。
    画材は、絵具にはミノー、ルフラン、クサカベギルドなど、高品質なブランドを使用。油や樹脂も加工油や、天然樹脂など古典の時代から用いられてきた画材を使用。下地は、板に地塗りを施して描いております。ヨーロッパの古典絵画技法を研究し、それを活かした技法で制作。これにより、色彩の深み、絵全体の堅牢さが高められています。
